Gypsy Hotel

Gypsy Hotel Started as the brainchild of Peul-Ronney Angel of The Urban Voodoo Machine in London in 2007. Since then we have expanded to San Diego (Run by Sammi Yaffa of The New York Dolls) and The Crane Lane Theatre where Mark (aka bob) runs the show on the last Sunday of every month. The beauty of Gypsy Hotel is that no matter what the line-up you know you're in for a hell of a night. From Punk Blues to Swing to GypsyRoc 'n Roll to Rockabilly and Psychobilly with Burlesque and world-class cabaret thrown into the mix! Ladies and Gentlemen dress to distress but be sure above all things you bring your dancing shoes!

Guests this month include Eamonn Dowd And The Racketeers and Bella A Go Go with more to be announced.

Eamonn's latest album "Silver and Dust", just released, continues his musical direction with even more assurance in the americana / alternative country / rock 'n' roll direction taken by the band on "Exit Hellsville" (2004) and has received favourable reviews from the U.K., Germany, The Netherlands and beyond. While influences like Johnny Cash and Steve Earle come to mind, a lyrical darkness permeates the bands' roots infused rock 'n' roll with Dowd's haggard vocal delivering his uniquely twisted tales. Nick Cave and Green On Red have recently been mentioned by some reviewers as reference points.

Bella A Go Go has graced Gypsy Hotel's stage on more than one occasion in more than one incarnation. Bella's diverse acts range from traditional Belly-Dancing to Burlesque to the riotously funny strip-tease antics of her alter-ego Dotty Potts. Bella returns to Cork this month and is not to be missed!
